Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a very nice Thanksgiving weekend. It was just what the doctor ordered, to get me away from the stress that is going on in my life (I'm sure I've vented to most of you, and I appreciate every one's support).

Pat, Christian, the girls and I headed down to my folks house Thursday morning. We visited with my dad for a bit before heading over to Kathleen & Klaus's for dinner. What a fabulous dinner and gathering it was.

Uncle Sean visiting with Lia

The table was beautiful

Kathleen had the cutest little name tags and a menu made out.....adorable.

We ate and drank and enjoyed each others company. Such good food and good conversations, everyone was so good with the babies that I even go to enjoy my food (and it was yummy).

Sean just had to much turkey and fun.....napping of the turkey.

Friday morning my mom, the girls, Christian, my cousin Lisa and I shopped.....not at 4:00am like some people, but we got some shopping in. I think I'm all done with the girls gifts. I've decided to cut way back this Christmas as the economy in Michigan sucks and I was to be very conservative. Plus the girls have more stuff than I even know what to do with. I still want it to be a special Christmas and I think they will really like what "Santa" brings them.

I spent several hours this afternoon with my cousin Lisa, while my mom and Sean took Christian to see a movie. Lisa and I had a nice chat (Jan 12th is a long way away Lisa, I'm counting down the days).

I hope every one had a blessed Thanksgiving.

Lazy Weekend

Do to the cold weather and the snow (not much, but enough to make me to cold to go outside) we spent the weekend holed in the house. The kids and I that is, it's hunting season, so I get to be a single, working mom for the next....I don't even know how many weeks.

Christian and I watched a couple of movies and spent some time together, that was nice as he usually wants nothing to do with me. The girls spent the weekend uncleaning everything that I tried to clean. Sometimes I wonder why I bother.

This should be a short week at work. I'm only working two days. Or so I say at this time. I'm sure something will come up and I'll put in enough hours in those couple of days to make up for a week worth of days. Maybe one day this job will slow down, by then I'll be crazy (maybe I already am).

Happy Sunday

Getting cozy after bath timeKendy is a sticker head

Playing so nicely

Well today is Sunday already and it's been a couple of weeks since I've posted. Time is sure flying by, before we know it it will be 2009. Hopefully 2009 is a better year, as this year has been very rough. Lot's of family & work drama......I'm ready for it to end!

The girls and I are going to church today (it's snowing, so let's hope I remember how to drive in the snow) and then we are going over to my friend Karen's for a play date. Kendyl just loves playing with Joey.

Christian is doing well, he still won't learn to drive, even though he's 16 now. His friend Matt drove over here yesterday and drove the boys back to Matt's house (it seems so weird to see him drive), so hopefully that will inspire Christian.

The girls are both doing well, driving me crazy because they have to get into everything. It's like living with two little tornadoes.

Pat is up north hunting and has left me with the kids for the week. I think I'm going to need a vacation by the time he returns.

Catch Up

I realize that I haven't posted in about two months, so I'm attempting to catch up and let you all know what we've been up to.

Yesterday, my Aunt and Uncle came to town and we went out for a nice meal. We waited for about 45 mins for a table and the kids were pretty good. I was so thankful when a table came available, because we were all hungry. We had a really nice visit. Christian really seemed to enjoy the dinner conversation with my aunt and uncle.
Halloween was a ton of fun. We went with the neighbors and had an absolute blast. I was exhausted by the end of the night and ready to stop walking around. Kendyl wanted to be carried most of the time and she is no light weight, so my back was aching.

My monster and princesses. Christian went out to a party with a bunch of his friends and they all went trick or treating together.....this is the first year that he was to cool to come with Pat and I...my little boy is growing up.

Instead of carving pumpkins I thought it would be a good idea to get some finger paint and paint the pumpkins. It was fun, but messy.

As many of you know, I've been loving my job lately (not), so I was so excited to get a week off and spend some time by myself and with the girls (Christian and Pat are two cool to hang out with me). My mom headed over on the weekend and we went up to Traverse City, where I have some family. It was an absolutely fantastic weekend. The weather was ideal and the kids were pretty good, the leaves were changing colors. I couldn't have asked for a better time. I am so in love with Traverse City that I've decided I want to move there......it's go to take me some time before I can move, but I would like to move there within the next 5 years.

The most awesome Ice Cream place in the world....Moomers!

Cute and messy!!

We played on the beach and picked up a ton of shells.

This would have made a cute "nerd" Halloween costume, but it's just Lia being goofy. Both her and Kendyl love to dress up. What silly girls.
