HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We wish all of our friend and family a happy new year. 2007 was a wonderful year for us, and 2008 is looking to be even better. We have some exciting things happening in 2008 and will be sure to update everyone.

Up at the farm!

We had the pleasure of spending a couple of days with Pat's brother and sister-in-law. It's been a while since we've got to see Mike & Sally. We are very excited that there will be a new cousin in the future, as Sally is almost 5 months pregnant (unfortunately I didn't get a picture of Sally's cute baby bump or I would have posted it). We are all looking forward to the new addition.

Pat & Kendyl outside at the farm

The girls really had fun playing with Uncle Mike and Aunt Sally. They played my little pony and Barbie and put pony tails in their hair. Kendyl got to play outside with daddy for a bit. Christian, Pat and Mike took a shot snowmobile ride, Christian really liked that.

This is what happens when daddy is left in charge!

Dressed by daddy, but still soooo cute!

Christmas Fun!

T'was the night before Christmas
The girls were in bed by 8:00, so Santa made her trip to the tree and was able to get to bed early. Kendyl put out milk and cookies and checked Christmas day to make sure that Santa ate them.... she ran around telling Pat and I that Santa ate her cookies (sooo cute!).

We had a very nice Christmas this year. Christian threatened to wake us up at 6:00am to open gifts, but I had to wake him up at 8:00 because Kendyl was up and had started opening gifts (she didn't really care who's they were, she was just ready to open.

Cindy & the girls playing

Kendyl
, so excited

(Karen this is a plastic butterfly, it made me think of Ava)

It took us about 2 hours to open gifts. Santa did go overboard, but the girls stopped to open and play with every gift. It was really fun.

Lia and her toy bus

Stocking Stuffers

Christian was very un-impressed with his stocking stuffers, I on the other hand thought it was very creative (all the kids got toothbrushes, Christian got breath mints & deoderant, the girls got hair brushes and pony tail holders....what else fits in a stocking? I usally don't do stockings, but Pat wanted to....maybe he'll take over next year.)

By noon we were pretty much done and all just wondering what to do next. This year we didn't travel to visit my family for Christmas (Pat's folks are in warm Florida, so we typically don't get to see them for Christmas....although it would be nice to), I found my self missing my family and called to check in. They were playing 80's trivia, and I missed it, hopefully next year the kids will be old enough and we will make the trip to Rochester.

I hope everyone had as nice of a Christmas as we did. I didn't have to work today, so it's going to be a short week for me. I do have to go in on Saturday, for inventory (the life of an accountant, but who am I kidding, I actually enjoy it...nerdy, huh?). This coming weekend we are heading up north to visit family and friends for New Years, it should be fun. It's hard to believe another year has come and gone.

One day and counting

Earlier today daddy went outside to play in the snow. The girls and I watched from the window (much warmer that way).

The girls dressed for church

(check out Kendyl's shoes, who wears bright green jelly shoes to church...that would be my daughter...and who am I to argue...at least she let me get her dressed and brush her hair)

Later in the day we went to church....Pat commented "now I remember why we don't get to go to church very often".... Lia was pretty good, but Kendyl was just loud. I spent most of the time sitting in the hall with her. She did ask me when Santa was going to come to church (how cute, but how to explain).

Have a very Merry Christmas!!

Santa Train

We went on the Santa Train today and both girls were really good. Christian was good to, he sat and played video games. Oh well, at least we were all together. We started out by heading to Coopersville and eating some pizza at a cute little pizza shop.

Kendyl was really excited to meet Santa. She was talking about him all morning. We boarded the train and Santa sat down and started talking to the children.

We waited our turn and then as we got up to see him Kendyl screamed so loud that Santa had to cover his ears. She didn't want to sit with him, so I sat down with the two girls and Santa and quickly got our picture taken.

After seeing Santa we had to make a quick stop at Sam's club. Wow, there are a lot of people doing last minute Christmas shopping. Then off home we went to see daddy (daddy couldn't make the Santa train trip because he had to work) and take some naps.

Naps didn't work everyone was far to excited to play with grandma, so we decided to open some Christmas presents (from Grandma/Grandpa/and Uncle Sean). The best present was the very loud electric piano that came from Uncle Sean. Both girls really love it. (and Sean just wait until you have kids!!) Christian received some money for his car fund. He LOVED his gifts.

Take care and have a Merry Christmas.

I can't wait until Christmas

The girls and Christian are doing very well waiting for Christmas to come. Me on the other hand I just can't wait. I also, just keep shopping. It is going to be the biggest and best Christmas ever. Mostly because my family is complete. I am the proud mother of three and I couldn't even begin to dream of a better gift. Tomorrow is the Santa train. We are off to bed soon, so we can go and meet Santa tomorrow. This will be the first time for both girls to see Santa. I CAN'T WAIT. Hopefully I'll have lot's of cool pictures to post.

The girls

Aren't we so cute! The girls hanging out in there PJ's. It's amazing how quickly they have bonded and fallen in love with each other (big brother Christian also loves the girls). We are officially one big happy family.
